POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Martin Foot and Ankle is recruiting for an upbeat, positive and outgoing Physical Therapy Receptionist to work in our Physical Therapy department. This is an interactive, customer service focused position that includes, but is not limited to, greeting the patients upon their arrival and assisting them throughout their visit while working to enhance the effectiveness of the business operation. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for greeting the patients upon their arrival, entering data into the electronic medical record system, scheduling appointments, determining eligibility, collecting payments and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A pleasant demeanor, positive attitude and outgoing personality;
  • Some knowledge in exercise science, movement science or kinesiology is a plus;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of general office procedures;
  • Superb computer skills;
  • Electronic medical record experience is a plus;
  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • A degree from a medical program preferred but not required;
  • At least one year working in a medical environment;
  • An extensive understanding of HIPAA regulations.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

This position will float between our various Physical Therapy offices in York, Hanover and Lancaster; therefore reliable transportation and a willingness to travel is required. The schedule for this position will mostly be during weekday hours but will include some evenings until approx. 7:00pm.
