Physical Therapy

Welcome to Martin Physical Therapy! Physical Therapy

We are a group of licensed professionals, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, that are focused on helping you get back to the activities, lifestyle and energy level that you  desire. You may have had surgery, an athletic injury, maybe an overuse injury, or some type of pain syndrome that is reducing your quality of life.

We strongly believe in our process of providing you with an individual comprehensive evaluation from which we can determine any pain issues, strength or flexibility limitations, motion restrictions and movement compensations. From there, we can determine the type of treatment needed to help you maximize your functional ability and improve your overall quality of life.

We will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is customized to your individual needs based on the findings of your evaluation and aligned with the goals that you personally set for your rehabilitation. We will guide you through the custom program to ensure that you reach the goals that are important to you.

We want you to complete your program and become your best “YOU”.

Why Physical Therapy?

Physical therapy is a powerful healing art that is grounded in the science of body structure and movement. Physical therapy is a conservative approach to treating pain, restoring strength, restoring range of motion and movement ability, improving balance stability and improving endurance. The loss of or restriction in any of these areas could be the factor that is keeping you from doing the things you enjoy most.

Why Choose Us?

The therapists at Martin Physical Therapy commit themselves to being experts in the assessment of lower extremity dysfunction. Our clinicians have extensive training in the lower body kinematic chain from the spine to the toes. We strive to utilize the most current evidence-based procedures and treatments and because we take a more focused approach, we are able to reduce the length of time you need to commit to therapy while still reaching your personal goals and maximizing your functional activity level.

StretchingOur therapists strongly believe in providing clients with the education and knowledge that enables you to understand “what” is wrong, possibly “why” it is wrong and “how” to promote healing and restore your functional ability.

Having a basic understanding of your own injury, illness, dysfunction, pain syndrome or functional challenges will allow you to be a better advocate for yourself, helping you to achieve your best “YOU”.

Martin Physical Therapy offers a transitional Wellness Program that can seamlessly follow the completion of your rehab program.

What is MY Responsibility?

Success in your physical therapy program will require some effort on your part, which will include:

  1. Regular attendance to scheduled sessions to provide the consistency needed to help your body make the necessary changes to reach your goals.

  2. Open communication with your therapist so programs can be adjusted depending on how you are responding to your current therapy plan.

  3. Follow through with your home exercise program as directed by your therapist which is critical to accomplish the desired changes in your body in a relatively short period of time.

  4. Lastly, actively participating in your recovery, including the energy, effort and motivation required to help guide the pace of your recovery.
