JoAnne Lafferty, DPT is a native Long Islander. She attended SUNY Stonybrook before receiving her BA in Health Sciences and her Master's in Physical Therapy from Touro College in 1990. She moved to PA in 1990 to pursue her professional career. JoAnne has worked in many physical therapy capacities throughout her career. She has extensive experience working with neurologically involved clients, she has obtained NDT training for that population and she was the Spinal Cord Injury Team Leader at Healthsouth Mechanicsburg in the early to mid 1990s. JoAnne then went on some traveling PT assignments before taking the Director role at Central Pennsylvania College's PTA Program. Leaving Central Penn College in 2002, JoAnne worked as a Site Manager for an outpatient physical therapy clinic before joining Martin Foot and Ankle in 2005 to develop and manage the Martin Physical Therapy program until October 2017. She received her DPT from Temple University in 2009. JoAnne has been thrilled to be guiding the growth and development of the MFA PT department and she is still passionate about providing a program that is quality driven, patient focused and fun.
JoAnne lives locally and enjoys the great outdoors that PA offers. She is athletic by nature and loves being outside with her family and friends, and especially when her four-legged companions are along.
