INSURANCE PRECERTIFICATION SPECIALIST
Insurance Precertification Specialist - NOT CURRENTLY RECRUITING
The Insurance Precertification Specialist performs insurance and billing clerical duties, which includes; review and verification of patient account information against insurance program specifications, receiving and coordinating referrals to include notification of insurance providers for prior authorization and services covered, staying up-to-date on all billing and precertification requirements and benefit changes for third party insurance carriers, securing needed medical documentation required for insurers and other duties as assigned.
- A high school graduate or GED equivalent required;
- Previous medical billing experience and/or education is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills;
- Medent or medical records software experience is strongly preferred;
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task;
- Ability to work well with others;
- Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills required.
